Step 1

Put butter into a cold pan and then top with sliced mushrooms and pepper (I used a pepper mill and just ground away so amount of pepper is estimated but we like a lot).

Step 2

Put pan on a medium heat and stir to coat the mushrooms with the melting butter, once coated turn heat the heat down a little and stir occasionally till the mushrooms take on a bit of colour - about 12 to 15 minutes and then add the sour cream and the cream stirring into the mushrooms and heat through.

Step 3

Serve immediately.

Tips & Variations

No special items needed.



Delicious. I Subbed brown mushrooms, so my sauce turned brown, but still tasted great. Good side for a flank steak.

My family loved this on toast. A wonderful quick and easy recipe to serve for breakfast of brunch. This is the recipe that started me eating a few mushroom's, and today was no different, I made this as written for breakfast and once again this recipe did not let me down, we really enjoyed it.
