Editorial Notes

The ingredient tips, suggestions, variations, facts, questions and answers below are not edits to the original author's recipe. They are not meant to imply any change would improve the recipe. • For best results, use Old El Paso green chilies and flour tortillas.
  • For a spicier roll-up, try using a spicier salami.

  • Substitute hummus for mayonnaise - Hummus is a healthier alternative to mayonnaise, and is made from mashed chickpeas, tahini, olive oil, garlic, and lemon juice. This substitution will provide a more nutritious and flavorful alternative to the mayonnaise.
  • Substitute turkey for salami - Turkey is a leaner meat than salami, and will provide a lighter and healthier option for the roll-ups. It still provides a great source of protein and will add a delicious flavor to the dish.

Vegetarian Roll-Ups Replace the salami with an equal amount of thinly sliced vegetables such as bell peppers, mushrooms, onions, and carrots. Follow the same instructions as the original recipe.

Veggie-Cheese Roll-Ups Replace the salami with an equal amount of thinly sliced vegetables such as bell peppers, mushrooms, onions, and carrots. Spread each wrap with a thin layer of cream cheese and top with the vegetables. Roll up and serve.

Easy and tasty...I liked that the lettuce stayed fresh and held a crunch...next time I think I'll throw in some cilantro...I cut the recipe down to two roll ups so I used minced jalapeno instead of the green chilies...made for "Pick Me" tag game...

I made these for lunch the other day and they were great. Even my son wanted to try one, and he's picky when it comes to food, and he liked it!

This makes a great appetizer for the guys in your life...especially during football season. so easy to put together and in 30 minutes you have a mini-meal. I used both ham and salami and a few slices of aged white cheddar. Omited the lettuce, but I can see where the lettuce would add a nice crunch to the recipe. Thanks Lor~
