Step by Step Method

Step 1

Preheat broiler to high.

Step 2

Line a rimmed cookie sheet with foil.

Step 3

On the cookie sheet toss broccoli with 1 1/2 tablespoons oil, spreading the broccoli in an even layer. broil, stirring once until charred (10 minutes). Transfer to a serving dish.

Step 4

In a skillet over low heat and 1 1/2 tablespoons oil along with the garlic and red pepper flakes and cook stirring until garlic is browned and fragrant (3-5 minutes). Remove from heat and stir in the vinegar and salt if desired. Drizzle over the broccoli and toss.

So much better than plain boiled or steamed broccoli! Broiling intensifies that broccoli goodness and the garlic/vinegar sauce provides that perfect tangy touch (I did add extra garlic - shocker for me...Lol). I did add some salt and pepper to the broccoli once it came out of the oven. Good stuff, ellie. Thank you, for sharing.

Easy and tasty broccoli dish...the red wine vinegar gives it a delicious zing...and it's packed with garlic flavor...yum...made for "Billboard" tag game...
