Roast Beef Sandwich With Spicy Sauce

Step 1

Cut Kaiser rolls in half and toast 6 inches under broiler, watch closely so as not to burn. Remove and set aside.

Step 2

Mix together the sauce ingredients, mayonnaise, ketchup , hot sauce and set aside.

Step 3

Slice onion and red bell pepper and cook in 1 tablespoon olive oil over medium high heat until caramelized and tender, about 15 minutes.

Step 4

Heat deli roast beef in microwave for 30-45 seconds or until hot.

Step 5

To assemble sandwich's by spreading 1 tablespoon of sauce on bottom of each roll and top each roll with 1/4 pound of roast beef, salt and pepper, caramelized veggies and a slice of mozzarella cheese.

Step 6

Broil 6 inches under broiler till cheese is melted, watch closely so as not to burn.

Step 7

Spread top of rolls with 1 tablespoon of sauce and place on top of assembled bottom rolls.

Wow, was this yummy. So much flavor and so ooey gooey good. Made as written but used orange pepper and Cabiatta buns, it was what I had on hand. They worked beautifully with this wonderful recipe. Great use of game ingredients Teresa... Made for RSC 2018.
