Step by Step Method

Step 1

In a pot of water over medium high heat, bring the water to a boil and then add the radishes and cook for 3-5 minutes or until crisp-tender; drain.

Step 2

In a skillet over medium high heat melt the butter and then add the par-boiled radishes and saute for 3-5 minutes or until butter is browned. Stir in the lemon rind and juice and the salt and cook for another minute, stirring occasionally. Remove from heat and then stir in the radish leaves and pepper.

Sorry...this really didn't work for us...I wasn't sure about the lemon juice amount...so I just used about a tablespoon for half a recipe...we didn't care for the greens...we both ate a few of the radishes...made for "Billboard" tag game...

I barely ever cook radishes and have had them mostly tossed in a salad. Love these and I'm going to continue making them like this from now on. I used the radishes bought in a packet, but will want to make them next time with the radish leaves, as described in the recipe. The recipe method calls for lemon juice, however, it isn't included in the list of ingredients, I added a bit of the juice. Delicious. Thank you, ellie, for sharing. Made it for FYC.
