Step 1

Preheat oven to 375°F.

Step 2

Combine brown sugar, crumbs, cinnamon, nutmeg and butter.

Step 3

Mix until crumbly.

Step 4

Place apples in a greased 11"x7" baking dish.

Step 5

Sprinkle with lemon juice.

Step 6

Spread sugar mixture over top.

Step 7

Bake 25-30 minutes, or until apples are tender.

Step 8

Serve warm, with whipped cream or ice cream.

I chose this recipe as it did not use oats which the DH is not keen on, I personally found the topping too sweet for my taste but the DH and DS disagree and thoroughly enjoyed. Thank you Chocolatll made for Alphabet Soup Tag Game.
