I've made these patties a couple of times. My husband must keep his salt intake to a minimum so, with many recipes, I choose to eliminate the salt altogether, which I did with this recipe and we found them to be so delicious. I followed the recipe the first time I made them (eliminating the salt) and then I decided to try coating them with Panko. I first put a minimal amount on mayonnaise on the top and bottom of each patty so the Panko would adhere. They turned out so crunchy! Yum! The recipe made 5 good size patties so with the left overs my DH put some hummus on a piece of bread, topped it with the patty and a slice of tomato and sprinkled it with pepper. Another tasty treat. Thank you for sharing this recipe.

I made this recipe on 6/13 for the Salmon Tour of the "SUMMER VACATION " event in the Games Forum.Instead of using minced garlic,a couple of good shakes of garlic powder was used. I started off by using 1 1/2 cups of crushed saltine cracker crumbs, but the mixture was still a little loose. So another 1/4 cup was added and that extra little bit seemed to work just fine.Instead of using Olive oil,the patties were fried in canola oil. Also the patties were fried in a cast iron skillet, just to give it that extra crispy exterior that we like. The only thing that I would would change is,,nothing. They were already perfect,so no changes are needed. Thanks so much for posting a " SOLID 5* "recipe that will be made again. " Keep Smiling :) "

Puggsie these are delicious. I made these to bring to work for DH's and my lunch and had them on a thinsation bun with a bit of tartar sauce and lettuce. They do brown quite a bit on the outside which leaves you with "crunchy" patties, very nice. I used the saltine cracker option. Made for the Billboard Recipe Tag Game.

I made this with panko bread crumbs, about 1 and 3/4 cups of it, for everything to stick together, and it was really good. It made 3 "kick butt" patties and I served them with those new Presidents Choice healthier burger buns they advertise and, yup, they were very very good. For a condiment I added mayo and relish and also added tomato slices. I did pack one for my lunch and it firms up more as it cools. I ate the pattie cold with a bit of salt and pepper and wow was it good.

I haven't had salmon patties for ever so long - these are so like the ones we have made over the years - unlike us you have the recipe down and ready to go! Loved the patties! Thank you for posting - added to our Family Favourites Cookbook.

I have been craving salmon and love salmon patties so these really tasted good to me! I served them open face in a bun with a white sauce with peas on top and a squirt or two of lemon. DELICIOUS!
