Step by Step Method

Step 1

Fry the rice in 1 tablespoon oil and one teaspoon piripiri seasoning and turmeric until lightly toasted.

Step 2

Add chicken broth and bring to boil

Add peas

Step 4

Cover and reduce heat.

Step 5

Cook rice 20 minutes until it is light and fluffy.

Step 6

While the rice is cooking

Step 7

Sauté chopped bell peppers and onions

Step 8

In oil

Step 9

Add garlic and 1 teaspoon piripiri seasoning , more depending on how hot you want it to be.

Step 10

Add the cooked rice and sauté until well blended.

What a great tasting rice! Normally, we would cook the onions and red peppers along with the rice, cooking it separately resulted in fresher tasting veggies. Followed all as written but added some chopped parsley seeing I needed to use it up. We loved it and would definitely make it again. Thank you, Dee, for sharing.
