"From our weekday newspaper The West Australian. Times are estimated. Since posting I have made and enjoyed though I had to use a different pasta as I could not find strozzapreti so used twisted and used a pesto that I have previously made which is similar to the one that is posted here."

Step by Step Method

Step 1

Cook pasta in a large saucepan of boiling, salted water for about 6 minutes, or until just tender and add the peas and cook for a further 2 minutes, or until pasta and peas and tender and then drain and then return to the pan and cover to keep warm.

Step 2

Meanwhile, made the pesto - place capers, parmesan, parsley, dill and garlic in a food processor and process until chopped and then add oil and season with salt and pepper and process until combined.

Step 3

Roughly break salmon into pieces and add salmon and pesto to pasta and toss to combine.

Step 4

Serve pasta with parmesan and lemon wedges.
