Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 375 gram strozzapreti pasta
  • 1 cup peas, frozen
  • 200 grams smoked salmon (for cooking is specified)
  • Parmesan, finely grated to serve
  • Lemon wedges, to serve
  • FOR HERB PESO
  • 2 teaspoon capers ( baby capers, drained)
  • 1/3 cup parmesan, finely grated
  • 1/2 cup parsley leaves, fresh and firmly packed
  • 1/4 cup dill sprigs, fresh and loosely packed
  • 1 garlic clove, minced
  • 1/3 cup olive oil
  • Salt, to taste
  • Pepper, to taste

How to Make

  • Step 1: Cook pasta in a large saucepan of boiling, salted water for about 6 minutes, or until just tender and add the peas and cook for a further 2 minutes, or until pasta and peas and tender and then drain and then return to the pan and cover to keep warm.

  • Step 2: Meanwhile, made the pesto - place capers, parmesan, parsley, dill and garlic in a food processor and process until chopped and then add oil and season with salt and pepper and process until combined.

  • Step 3: Roughly break salmon into pieces and add salmon and pesto to pasta and toss to combine.

  • Step 4: Serve pasta with parmesan and lemon wedges.
