"This is a breading recipe I concocted a while back. It is similar to “Shake ‘n’ Bake” style chicken but much better. This tastes just as good as deep-fried, if not better. I do make this recipe with cutlets also, but the cook time is much less, about 30 minutes, depending on how thick they are. The recipe can actually bread more than 4 pieces."

Step by Step Method

Step 1

Drizzle chicken pieces with oil and rub into each piece.

Step 2

Combine remaining ingredients, except for chicken, in a plastic bag.

Step 3

Place chicken pieces in breading bag and toss to coat.

Step 4

Place on a foil lined baking sheet.

Step 5

Bake at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for 50 minutes to 1 hour, or until cooked.

The breading worked great for my chicken wings I made for an appy night...I cooked them in the air fryer and they came out nice and crispy with the meat nice and tender...yum...made for "Billboard" and "B'Zazzled" tag games...

I made this mix to use on chicken thighs and also another time on wings. Such a super flavor blend from this mix, and one that satisfies all 6 of us, which is perfect for our weekly meal rotation!

This chicken was some of the best flavored chicken I ever made. I used thighs and breast pieces and it really couldn't have been better. Family compliments were flying around the dinner table as they were grabbing more! We had potato and pasta salad along with fresh corn for sides. Summer is here!

Great on chicken thighs which are always tender, and the skin gets crunchy and delicious! I keep some in the fridge ready to go. It would be good on pork too. Must try!

This mix of ingredients is perfection! I could eat it every week and never get sick of it. It IS that good! Plan to use it on chops too. My mouth is watering just thinking about it! Yum!

We loved every morsel of this chicken! Dh had super clean bones after attacking some thighs I put on his plate. We will see to many repeats for this yummy chicken! I am going to try it on some wings very soon.
