Stir in ground walnuts, oats, chocolate chips and raisins.

Step 5

Cover with plastic wrap and chill for 1 hour.

When when I saw these I saved a copy to have ready for when I wanted to make my Christmas trays to give to my neighbors this year. They have everything but the kitchen sink in them and they are so good! and I froze them until I assemble the trays tomorrow. My neighbors are going to love them!

I made these for the holidays and froze them after taste testing one and they are awesome! I didn't add the raisins this time for my goodie bags, but I will add them when I make some for myself. These cookies are yummy and sure to be enjoyed by everyone!

My family loved these too. They are different than most oatmeal cookies, as you can taste the ground walnut and cinnamon. Just wonderful! I wanted to add, that I made as Engrossed said for the first few pans, then I tried an experiment and just placed the balls on the pan and didnt smash, they cooked up just fine and were actually more moist when I didnt smash them.

I used whole wheat flour and then ground my nuts in my little mini chopper. What great cookies these are. I loved all the ingredients together in the cookies. The kids enjoyed them and asked that I make them again for them. They couldn't leave the cookie jar alone!
