"A nice low-sodium appetizer if you have a grill. Use more thyme if you like; I particularly like thyme but other herbs could be substituted. Serve the mushrooms by themselves or with some of the marinade as dipping sauce. Cooking time shown is actually marination time."

Step 1

Combine first 5 ingredients and use to marinate mushrooms at least an hour.

Step 2

String mushrooms on skewers and grill or broil, basting with marinade, until lightly browned.

Step 3

Remove from skewers and serve.

Perfect as a side with a meatball sub! The garlic really comes through. This would be great as an appetizer anytime. I let the mushroom marinate for about 3 hours then cooked them stove top in a skillet lid on. I will be making this recipe again.
