Step by Step Method
Step 1
Whisk flour with the bicarb soda and a pinch of salt; add one egg and gradually add the buttermilk, whisk together until a thick batter forms.
Step 2
Dip the banana pieces into the batter ensuring to coat them well on each side.
Step 3
Heat a crepe pan with vegetable oil over a medium heat and when the oil is hot, cook the battered banana pikelets on both sides until golden brown.
Step 4
Serve warm with maple syrup.
