Step by Step Method
Step 1
Place all of the spices into a small bowl and toss to combine. Use the spice mix to generously season both sides of the pork chops.
Step 2
Heat the oil in a frying pan over medium high heat. Once the oil starts shimmering, add the pork chops and brown on both sides.
Step 3
Reduce heat to medium and add the onions to the pan, stirring them in. Saute for 3-4 minutes until they begin to caramelize, stirring often.
Step 4
Add the tomato sauce and sugar, stirring to combine. Simmer, covered, until chops are done - about 5 more minutes.
Step 5
Remove from heat and serve over white rice.
