Grease the 9x13 casserole with butter

In saucepan melt bacon grease and cook onions until soft

Add sauerkraut and toss

Add to casserole 1/2 at time

Add layer of noodles season. Repeat
Step 6
Top with 8 cakes of sausage over the top
Step 7
Bake covered 45 minutes at 375 degrees
Step 8
Uncover bake 15 minutes more until hot and bubbly and lightly browned
