"Just like the sweet and sour sauce at the Chinese restaurants! This sauce is great with browned mini meatballs and pineapple chunks added into the simmering sauce and also goes great with my #recipe27.. and my #recipe12108 Amounts may easily be doubled. For a more fruity flavor use Minute Maid Fruit blend flavor in place of pineapple juice"

I made the sauce to pour over my Shrimp Stirfry. I added diced mandarin orange slices to the sauce before serving. This is even better than at the Chinese restaurants I have been to. Super delicious!

My aunt used this sauce to make Waikiki Meatballs for our Luau, and it was sweet, but not too sweet. We loved it so much. There were only 4 meatballs left. I had mine with white rice and it was better than any time I have had it in a resraurant! I went home with the recipe!

I used this recipe to make Waikiki Sweet And Sour Meatballs with a few changes. I made 40 meatballs using 2 lbs. of ground beef. I baked them in my Nu-Wave for 10 minutes. I set them aside while I made the sauce. I didn't have white vinegar, and they were out at the grocery store, so I used 1/2 cider vinegar mixed with half water. The sauce took about 10 minutes to make. I added a mix of green, yellow and red peppers (about 1 1/2 cups all together) into the sauce and let them cook while the sauce was thickening. I also added Maraschino cherries and about 1/3 of the juice in the jar, along with 1/2 of the cherries. I used 1 (20 oz.) can of pineapple chunks also. I did a taste test and they are fantastic! Tomorrow we are having a Backyard Luau at my sister's house, and we will eat them then. I can't wait for the compliments!

This was better than any Asian restaurant I've ever been to! I did tweek it just a little. I like it a little more "sour" so I used 1/2 cup vinegar and I also added just a teaspoon of hoisin sauce.

This is better than in the Chinese restaurants! We loved it with your Kittencal's Chinese Chicken Balls. Used it to dip them in as appetizers. No more store bought stuff for us!
