Step by Step Method

Step 1

Heat oven to 350°F. Grease pie plate, 9 X 1 1/4 inches.

Step 2

Stir all ingredients except topping until blended. Pour into pie plate.

Step 3

Bake 35 to 40 minutes or until knife inserted in center comes out clean. Cool completely, about 1 hour.

Step 4

To make spiced topping stir together ingredients until smooth.

Step 5

Cut pie into slices. Garnish each serving with spiced topping. You can add a pecan halve on each slice if desired.

I love pumpkin pie. Pie crust not so much, so this was perfect. I easily cut recipe in half and baked in a small pie plate. Instead of Cool Whip, I used whipped cream and just sprinkled some spice over the cream.
