Step by Step Method
Step 1
Drain and save fruit juices except apple rings (use small amount).
Step 2
Arrange fruit in alternate layers in large 9"x13" casserole dish.
Step 3
Combine brown sugar, butter, juice and sherry in saucepan.
Step 4
Cook, stirring over low heat until smooth and thick.
Step 5
Pour mixture over fruit.
Step 6
Cover and let stand in refrigerator overnight.
Step 7
Before serving. heat in 350 degree oven until hot and bubbly, about 25 minutes. This keeps well and may be reheated.
