"This is an awesome cake! Place fresh strawberries on top of frosting for decoration if you like. I suggest to allow the strawberries (for the frosting) to drain for a few hours in a strainer after mashing. NO MORE than 3/4 cup or the frosting will be too runny"

Oh YUMMY! My teenage daughter asked for me to tag this cake because she wanted to make it. It came out fab and very easy peasy to make with Excellent results. However, she turned it into a double-layer as opposed to a triple-layer. I think my husband could have eaten the whole thing himself, he loved it so much and we did too! Thank you, Kittencal, for sharing. Made it for PickMe Tag.

Oh my gosh! This cake is SO good! Made for my grandchildren for today. They came over after they got home from school. I had this cake waiting for them and they couldn't wait to dig in! I added walnuts in the cake. Just made it even better!

With strawberries in season we are in strawberry heaven. I made this cake and it was gone in two days and there was only 2 of us here! I can't wait to make this for my daughter for her birthday. I will add fresh strawberries to the top just to jazz it up a little. She will love it as much as we do i'm sure.
