"Another recipe I found floating around on paper...recipe says to cook it on a kettle-style grill...I have made this on a George Foreman Grill or even a cast iron grill...cooking time does not include marinating time."

Step by Step Method

Step 1

To make marinade, combine green onions, soy sauce, garlic, sesame oil, lemon juice, chile paste, sugar, ginger root and chile oil in a small bowl.

Step 2

Place chops in a 1-gallon self-sealing plastic bag, pour marinade over chops, seal bag.

Step 3

Marinate in the refrigerator for 4 hours or overnight (turning once in awhile).

Step 4

Drain chops, reserving marinade.

Step 5

Place chops on a kettle-style grill directly over medium-hot coals, lower grill hood and grill for 4-5 minutes. Brush chops with reserved marinade; turn and brush again. Grill for 4-5 minutes more until chops are just done.

Wow! Loved the flavor of these chops! The heat level was just right... spicy but not enough to make your nose run! Since it's just the two of us, I made half a recipe directly in a quart sized ziploc, then threw in the chops and massaged them. No muss, no fuss. I marinated for about 90 minutes - and that was plenty of time to impart the flavor. As always, I upped the garlic and ginger. Just cuz I love them. Will definitely be making this again! Thanks for sharing this recipe!

I used low sodium, gluten free soy sauce and let these marinate for 2 hours and they turned out perfectly. I don't think I would let them marinate any longer then this just because they were so tasty after the 2 hours. A keeper recipe Teresa.

I really enjoyed the taste of the pork chops but the DH said it was okay but wouldn't be in a hurry to make again so looks like when I want it again I will have to cook for myself. Thank you TeresaS, made for For Your Consideration tag game at FF&FF.

What a wonderful recipe Teresa. We both really enjoyed the pork chops prepared this way. They were crisp, tender and full of flavor. Thank you for sharing a recipe that I will make again and again. Made for First Time Tag
