Step by Step Method

Step 1

Mix together the mustard and vinegar; whisk in two tablespoons of olive oil, set aside.

Step 2

Preheat grill.

Step 3

Grill kielbasa sausage on preheat grill for 8 to 10 minutes, remove, cover and set aside,

Step 4

Toss the pierogies and onions with the remaining two tablespoons of olive oil and season with salt and pepper.

Step 5

Place pierogies and onion in grill pan and place on grill.

Step 6

Close cover and grill for 5 minutes or until the onions have softened and the pierogies have thawed.

Step 7

Turn the pierogies and onions, cover and grill until pierogies are cooked through and the onions are soft; 5 to 6 minutes.

Step 8

Slice the kielbasa add to the onions and pierogies; grill for another 2 minutes.

Step 9

Remove from grill and toss with the mustard dressing,

Step 10

Serve immediately

True comfort food. I followed the ingredients but pan fried the pierogies with excellent results. I liked the touch of mustard & vinegar. I used a Portugese smoked sausage - hot & spicy. Served with some sour cream on the side.
