Grilled Lamb Chops With Saffron Garlic Sauce

"Found this recipe while glancing through the owners manual of my toaster oven. I would never expect to find a good recipe there, but this sauce really caught my eye! The recipe says this makes six servings, but in our household, a serving of loin chops is two chops each - so this would only serve three!"

Step 1

In a small bowl, combine mayonnaise, green onion, garlic, saffron and lime juice. Cover and let stand at room temperature to allow flavors to blend, about 15 minutes.

Step 2

Grill lamb chops to your preferred doneness. I like mine rare!

Step 3

Serve chops with dollop of the saffron sauce.

OMG don't know what was better the succulent lamb loin chops or that sauce which is to die for, I made the sauce earlier in the day so it had a few hours to infuse and the colour changed to a golden glow (sorry phot does not reflect this), usually I would only put a small spoon full of sauce on each chop but after having a taste I just slathered it on and from my one serve size I nearly finished of the lot thank you so much JostLori for a really great recipe, made for Pick Me tag game under the 48 hour rule.
