"This is a oriental style sauce I put together a while back and really enjoyed. It is great on ribs and skin on bone in chicken pieces. This enough for 2 racks of ribs or 3 pounds of chicken pieces. If you like the chicken skin crispy, you can broil the chicken pieces on a baking sheet just before serving them."
Mix together the first 7 ingredients.
Add the boiling water and stir until all is dissolved.
Preheat the broiler on and broil the chicken or ribs about 5 minutes per side, just to crisp the outside.
Place the ribs or chicken in crock-pot and pour the sauce over; cook on high for 4 hours or on low for 8 hours.
