Step by Step Method

Step 1

Combine flour and onion soup mix in plastic bag and add a few chicken pieces, secure bag and shake well to coat.

Step 2

Repeat until all chicken is coated and reserve left over flour mix.

Step 3

Cook chicken in a large pan with oil until browned all over and then add the bacon and vegetables and stir until onion is soft.

Step 4

Blend reserved flour mixture with water and add to pan.

Step 5

Bring to the boil, reduce heat, and simmer, covered, for 20 minutes, or until chicken is tender.

Step 6

Meanwhile, cook rice or pasta.

Step 7

Add sour cream and parsley to the chicken, stir through.

Step 8

Serve chicken with the rice.

This was so good! I loved the variety of veggies all in one pan with the chicken. The cooking method was perfect and very easy. I will make this again and again. My only change will be to omit the sour cream, because I thought the sauce was perfect before adding it. Thank you!
