Wowzers! This sandwich is incredible! The mix of flavors in this - the sweetness of the figs,the saltiness of the goat cheese, the richness of the proscuitto - are just amazing. Then adding the basil, fresh from the garden... Wow! Simply wow. The mayo is almost unnecessary, and next time I might use just a light coating of unsalted butter. I did toast the focaccia roll first. Oh my gosh, this was good!!!
