"This is a soup not a chili it should be loose. I get the fire roasted salsa mix at Walmart, it is insanely good. You can deseed the peppers or leave them in for heat. Add all spices to taste. If you like smokin' hot, add more. If you don't like spice (why are you making a recipe called spicy?), add just a pinch of everything else."

This was as good as I thought it would be, great to have another recipe to make for my vegetarian friend who also loves spicy. Shared with daughter and we both agree it's a winner. I didn't have a poblano pepper, subbed with jalapeno. Cooking for one saw me divide the soup adding kernel corn to half for variety. I served this with Bea's Asian Flat Bread #recipe4244 a perfect combination which will see to a rerun next week.
