Step 1

Brown meat in a large pot or Dutch oven, breaking it up finely as it browns.

Step 2

Add a little oil if the meat is too dry.

Step 3

Stir in all remaining ingredients.

Step 4

Cover and simmer 2 1/2-3 hours.

My husband made this yesterday with chopped venison. He made it as directed except he used part tomato sauce and part stewed tomatoes. We liked it and I'd love to try with ground venison.
