Step by Step Method

Melt butter and add garlic to saucepan

Saute on low until pale golden color,dont brown

Pour in cream simmer dont boil

In pam sprayed buttered gratin dish

Layer potatoes in even layers, seasoning as you go

Pour warm cream over potatoes lifting so cream gets all the way through

Dont overflow dish
Step 8
Place on baking sheet to catch overflow

Bake at 350 for 30 minutes
Step 10
Place cheese on top and bake 15 minutes more
Step 11
Until browned and hot and bubbly
Step 12
Knife should slide easily into center
