Step by Step Method
Step 1
Preheat oven to 300 degrees.
Step 2
Grease 9x13 pan.
Step 3
Combine sugar, oil and eggs; beat mixture until smooth and creamy.
Step 4
Sift together dry ingredients, add alternately with buttermilk to creamed mixture; mix until smooth.
Step 5
Stir nuts, dates and vanilla.
Step 6
Turn batter into pan.
Step 7
Bake at 300 degrees for 45-55 minutes.
Step 8
Cool cake in pan and serve.
