Step by Step Method
Step 1
Preheat oven to 350F
Step 2
Cut 1/2 cup butter into 1 cup flour

Sprinkle with 2 tablespoons water and gently mix, just until dough comes together into a ball

Divide dough in half
Step 5
On ungreased baking sheet pat dough into 12x13 inch strips, keep strips about 3 inches apart

Heat remaining 1/2 cup butter in a saucepan

Add 1 cup water and bring to rolling boil, remove from heat and add almond extract and flour, stiring quickly untill dough forms a ball

Beat in eggs until smooth and glossy
Step 9
Divide egg mixture in half and spread onto each strip
Step 10
Bake 60 minutes or until topping is crisp and brown
Step 11
Combine glaze ingredients and use to frost danish puff
