Step 1

Chop the onion and put it into the crock pot. Then cut the potatoes, placing them in next.

Step 2

Add the green beans.

Step 3

Cut up the smoked sausage and place it into the crock pot.

Step 4

Pour one cup of chicken broth over the top of everything, then salt and pepper according to your taste.

Step 5

Cook on high for 4 hours or on low for 6 hours.

We all enjoyed this easy meal. I did make a few changes by using frozen green beans and beef broth (instead of chicken broth). Very good and easy too!

I loved this! I used uncooked smoked sausage and cooked it the night before, prepped my beans, onions and potatoes that night too. All I had to do the next day was put it in the crock pot. I walked into a wonderful smell after work. Will make again!!

I love a simple recipe with familiar ingredients prepared in an easy way. This was GOOD. My whole family enjoyed it. I think I diced my potatoes a little too small (they cooked a little too much) but that's easy enough to fix for the next time. Thanks for sharing this recipe! Made for For Your Consideration Tag.

Daily Inspiration

What a really nice way to prepare green beans and potatoes -- love the addition of the sausage. I did add extra broth to the beans and I sauteed the onions and sausage before adding them to the slow cooker. Definitely a repeat at our house.
