Step by Step Method

Step 1

Preheat oven to 350F.

Step 2

In a large bowl beat together, the butter, white sugar, and brown sugar until smooth and creamy.

Step 3

Beat in the eggs, vanilla, and Irish cream until fluffy.

Step 4

In another bowl, stir together flour, baking soda, cinnamon, salt, and cloves. Gradually beat into butter mixture.

Step 5

Stir in oats and chocolate chips.

Step 6

Drop by tablespoonfuls onto a greased cookie sheet.

Step 7

Bake in the preheated oven until golden brown, 8 to 10 minutes.

Step 8

Cool very slightly then remove from the sheet to a wire rack. Cool completely.

I didn't use the irish cream (I subbed whipping cream)as I was making this for little ones, and I used gluten free 1 to 1 baking flour, in lieu of the wheat flour and these turned out so tasty.
