Step 1: Preheat oven to 350F.
Step 2: In a large bowl beat together, the butter, white sugar, and brown sugar until smooth and creamy.
Step 3: Beat in the eggs, vanilla, and Irish cream until fluffy.
Step 4: In another bowl, stir together flour, baking soda, cinnamon, salt, and cloves. Gradually beat into butter mixture.
Step 5: Stir in oats and chocolate chips.
Step 6: Drop by tablespoonfuls onto a greased cookie sheet.
Step 7: Bake in the preheated oven until golden brown, 8 to 10 minutes.
Step 8: Cool very slightly then remove from the sheet to a wire rack. Cool completely.
