Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 1 cup butter, softened
  • 1 cup white sugar
  • 1 cup brown sugar, packed (light or dark - I like using dark it gives more flavour)
  • 3 eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1 tablespoons Irish Cream liqueur (I think I added in more)
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon ground cloves
  • 3 cups rolled oats
  • 1 1/2 cups semisweet chocolate chips (the real chocolate)

How to Make

  • Step 1: Preheat oven to 350F.

  • Step 2: In a large bowl beat together, the butter, white sugar, and brown sugar until smooth and creamy.

  • Step 3: Beat in the eggs, vanilla, and Irish cream until fluffy.

  • Step 4: In another bowl, stir together flour, baking soda, cinnamon, salt, and cloves. Gradually beat into butter mixture.

  • Step 5: Stir in oats and chocolate chips.

  • Step 6: Drop by tablespoonfuls onto a greased cookie sheet.

  • Step 7: Bake in the preheated oven until golden brown, 8 to 10 minutes.

  • Step 8: Cool very slightly then remove from the sheet to a wire rack. Cool completely.
