"Chocolate chip cookie on the top and bottom, and in the middle is a delicious cheesecake filling. Mr Food says: "A classic! A favorite! And incredibly delicious! This simple Chocolate Chip Cheesecake is sure to become your standard", and we say he's right. Keep cookie dough refrigerated until just before slicing. You can serve the cheesecake plain, with chocolate sauce, with fudge or whipped topping. Whatever you like. Try using sugar cookie dough and lemon cheesecake, or shortbread cookie dough and cheesecake. Also you can make your own cookie dough. Just make sure you refrigerate the dough before making it. I use 3 rolls of cookie dough when I make them and cut back on the sugar to 1/2 cup."

Step by Step Method

Step 1

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.

Step 2

In a large bowl beat together cream cheese, eggs, sugar, and vanilla until well mixed. Set aside.

Step 3

Slice cookie dough rolls into 1/4 inch slices. Arrange slices from one roll on bottom of a greased 9x13 inch glass baking dish.

Step 4

Press together so there are no holes in dough when making the bottom layer.

Step 5

Spoon cream cheese mixture evenly over dough.

Step 6

Top with remaining slices of cookie dough. (When making the top layer, lay the slices of cookie dough on top of the cream cheese mixture. The dough slices will expand when baking and will create a top layer for the cheesecake).

Step 7

Bake 45-50 minutes, or until golden and center is slightly firm. Remove from oven, let cool, then refrigerate.

Step 8

Cut into slices when well chilled.
