Step by Step Method

Step 1

In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, honey, hoisin sauce, garlic, ginger and five-spice powder.

Step 2

Place in re-sealable bag and add pork; shake to coat.

Step 3

Refrigerate overnight.

Step 4

Coat the slow cooker with non-stick cooking pray.

Step 5

Place pork in slow cooker and pour marinade over top.

Step 6

Cover and cook on high for 4 hours or low for 6 hours.

Step 7

Remove pork to a large baking dish and keep warm.

Step 8

Pour liquid from slow cooker into a saucepan.

Step 9

In a small bowl, stir cornstarch into broth.

Step 10

Bring liquid in saucepan to a boil and whisk in the broth mixture.

Step 11

Cook until thickened.

Step 12

Shred pork into large pieces with 2 forks; stir in sauce.

Step 13

Spoon the meat and sauce mixture over noodles; garnish with scallions and serve.

Delicious! Crocked for 4 hours in my 2-qt crock pot. Made as written except I added a sprinkle of red pepper flakes to the sauce, and used noodles I had on hand. I had searched the site to add this recipe myself and saw you had added it, so I chose you for Pick Me, under the 48-hour rule. The recipe is Best of 2015 worthy!
