"I have being using this recipe for years, and this family really enjoys this salad. It is so quick, easy and tasty. I grow my own cherry tomatoes every year for this recipe. This looks especially pretty using different colored tomatoes."

Step by Step Method
Step 1
Put the red onion in a bowl with the vinegar and oil.
Step 2
Toss well and leave to marinate in refrigerator for 1 hour, leaving for flavors to blend.
Step 3
When marinated, remove from fridge and add tomatoes, salt flakes & cracked pepper.
Step 4
Toss salad and just before serving, sprinkle tomato salad with the basil.
Step 5
Serve.
