Step by Step Method
Step 1
Cook bacon and remove.
Step 2
Add bacon grease so it's 2 tablespoons.
Step 3
Cook onions until brown.
Step 4
Add tomatoes and okra, stir all of the vegetables together well.
Step 5
Season with salt and pepper.
Step 6
Add rice and stock.
Step 7
Stir again to make sure everything is mixed well.
Step 8
Cover and cook on medium low heat for 20 minutes.
Step 9
Don’t open the lid!
Step 10
Take off heat and let set covered for 5 minutes.
Step 11
Salt to taste and stir in crumbled bacon.
