" This appetizeer is very mild flavoured and will really appeal to peopele that don't want a lot of spice but want a lot of natural flavour. If you like spicy use jalapeno goat cheese and add some garlic. Carmelizing the onions takes about 30 minutes. You may make the onions ahead of time ready for use just 10 minutes before serving. Step by Step Method

Step 1

Heat the oil in a skillet over medium heat, add onions, cover with lid

Step 2

Stir often, do not let the onions cook too fast or brown too fast. Remove lid when the are getting nicely browned, continue cooking until they are golden

Step 3

Add balsamic vinegar, sugar and salt to the onions, remove from heat

Step 4

Place a generous amount of onions on each baguette slice, top with goat cheese and sprinkle with pine nuts

Step 5

Place in 425f oven for about 10 minutes, or until the bruchettas are heated through and the cheese is just beginning to melt Serve warm
