Step by Step Method
Step 1
Wash and dry apples, remove stem and blossom end of each.
Step 2
In top of double boiler, heat caramel candies with salt and water, stirring frequently until candies are melted and mixture is smooth.
Step 3
Keep caramel over hot water and place each apple in the caramel, using a spoon to completely coat apples.
Step 4
Insert a wooden Popsicle stick in stem end of apple and remove from caramel.
Step 5
Place apples on waxed paper and let chill until caramel is firm.
