Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 5 medium (2 pounds) apples
  • 1 package (14 ounce) caramels (caramel candies)
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoons water

How to Make

  • Step 1: Wash and dry apples, remove stem and blossom end of each.

  • Step 2: In top of double boiler, heat caramel candies with salt and water, stirring frequently until candies are melted and mixture is smooth.

  • Step 3: Keep caramel over hot water and place each apple in the caramel, using a spoon to completely coat apples.

  • Step 4: Insert a wooden Popsicle stick in stem end of apple and remove from caramel.

  • Step 5: Place apples on waxed paper and let chill until caramel is firm.
