Step by Step Method
Step 1
Cut out most of the cabbage core with a sharp knife, leaving just enough to hold the head together.
Step 2
Slice the head into wedges about 1 1/2" thick.
Step 3
Using a large skillet, melt the butter and add cabbage, parsley, sugar, pepper, and broth.
Step 4
Cover and cook cabbage over moderate heat about 12 minutes, basting several times with the pan juices
Step 5
When the cabbage is almost done, sprinkle with caraway seeds and serve with a little of the pan juices.
