"A dish that's enjoyed often in our house, knowed as káposztás tészta, in Hungarian and kraut lokshn, or kraut pletzlach in Yiddish, we call it cabbage noodles, whatever you decide on calling it, it's a very low cost dish that tastes great! This is Parve meaning it may be enjoyed with a dairy or meat meal, if your serving with a dairy meal a sprinkle of Parmesan cheese is a great addition"

Step 1

Sauté onions in oil until light brown, around 10-15 minutes, add in garlic and cook until soft, 2 minutes..

Step 2

When onions are light brown, add cabbage, cook together until soft (about 25 minutes) stirring from time to time, so vegetables don’t burn.

Step 3

Combine noodles and cabbage. Add salt and pepper.

This is a lovely combination and so easy to make. I got the I ingredients ready earlier in the day and then it just took minutes to finish. I put 3 tablespoon of water on the cabbage when I added it to the onions, covered it and it cooked in 7 minutes. This will be made again for sure.
