A quick and delicious rice dish. Rinsing and then sauteing the rice helps to keep the grains seperate and leads to fluffy rice that doesn't clump together. This was served with a Brazilian Black Bean Stew which was garnished with sliced green onions and parsley. Made for Culinary Quest 2014.

Wonderful basic rice, yet still has flavor!! I used a red onion, thinking it would give it bit of color, but forgot that when it is cooked, the color fades away, oh well. I did sprinkled some of Paula Deen's House Seasoning instead of just salt, but otherwise followed as written. Served it with Peruvian Chicken and corn on the cob, yummy!!! Thanks for sharing the recipe. Made for 2014 Culinary Quest.
