Step 1: Heat oil; add onion, cook until translucent.
Step 2: Wash rice in colander, let drain. Add to onions (will splatter).
Step 3: Cook rice til white and chalky. Add water. Cover simmer till all water is absorbed (I cook mine in rice cooker myself, may need a little more water depending on rice after all water is absorbed if needed add 1/4 cup more) Cook until done.
Step 4: Let sot covered off heat at least 5 minutes
