Step by Step Method

Step 1

Fry the bacon crisp and drain.

Step 2

Toast the bread.

Step 3

Spread the mayo on both slices of toast. You can put a little avocado on one side if you wish. My boys always liked this.

Step 4

Put the tomatoes, lettuce and bacon on top, with mayo side down; cut diagonally.

I really enjoyed this sandwich. The sun is finally out and it seemed like a nice spring day with this. lol. I'm not much of an avocado girl, so skipped that. Thanks for sharing, Dee.

I had bacon and avocado in the frig, so this was a perfect easy fix. The avocado made it so yummy. I used romaine, which also gave it a nice little crunch.

There is something to be said that there is nothing better than the classics, crispy warm crunchy toasted bread with crispy salty bacon and the sweetness of tomato slices and buttery soft lettuce (I used oakleaf lettuce) and my bread of choice was a low gi high fibre white bread which I sliced nice and thick. Thank you dienia b made for Food Friends and Fun and For your Consideration tag game.

Excellent basic summer recipe! Delicious, with generous use of bacon. I love the avocado addition!
