Step by Step Method
Step 1
Cook rice covered in chicken broth with turmeric powder and salt to taste on simmer for 20 minutes, take off heat and leave covered 5 minutes.
Step 2
Saute onions and green pepper in butter until tender.
Step 3
Combine this mixture with cooked rice.
Step 4
Add chopped pimentos and peas and toss.
Step 5
Season to taste.
