Step 1: Cook rice covered in chicken broth with turmeric powder and salt to taste on simmer for 20 minutes, take off heat and leave covered 5 minutes.
Step 2: Saute onions and green pepper in butter until tender.
Step 3: Combine this mixture with cooked rice.
Step 4: Add chopped pimentos and peas and toss.
Step 5: Season to taste.
