"This is my favorite meatball sub recipe, it is so easy to make. I make the sauce using fresh tomatoes and it tastes so much better than a jarred sauce. I have used, provolone, mozzarella, and cheddar cheese in this and they all work well, but my preference is provolone. You can use frozen store-bought meatballs for this but I prefer using my #recipe467 or #recipe34080 ."

We enjoyed these subs using provolone cheese. I also used Italian seasoning mix instead of oregano and salt. Thanks for sharing!

I was surprised at how the hubby enjoyed the sub...even though I over cooked the roll...we didn't really taste the capers...I had some of your Italian meatballs in the freezer...they were great in the sub... we loved the cheesiness...the hubby had shredded cheddar and I had shredded mozzarella...made for "Billboard" tag game...thanks for sharing your recipe...
