Step 1

Remove peel from banana.

Step 2

Wrap banana in heavy-duty plastic wrap, and freeze until firm.

Step 3

Remove banana from freezer, and cut into large chunks.

Step 4

Place banana in container of an electric blender; add milk, sugar, and vanilla.

Step 5

Cover and process on high speed 2 minutes or until smooth.

Step 6

Pour into chilled glasses to serve.

This is so creamy and smooth, with the frozen banana it tastes like you have added ice-cream! I only used 1/4 of the sugar, but I think it needed more, and I would have used more but DH is diabetic. I love the added flavour of the vanilla and so did the DH. Even without the added sugar, which I will use (if for myself) next time, it was wonderful. If you are looking for a milkshake that has no added ice-cream but still want the creaminess.... then this is the recipe for you! Can't get any easier, quicker, creamier or tastier than this!
